This position serves as a Children's Float Nurse within the Co-Occurring Disorders Inpatient Treatment Program at Brattleboro Retreat. The program provides 24-hour care in a safe, nurturing environment designed to promote healing and ongoing recovery for patients managing co-occurring psychiatric issues (such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and Anxiety Disorders) alongside substance use disorders.
In this role, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to identify individual and group needs, utilizing the nursing process to meet the needs of patients requiring complex care. A key component of the position is providing clinical supervision to Mental Health Workers (MHWs) to ensure the safe and therapeutic delivery of care. You will be responsible for high-quality interventions, including medically assisted drug and alcohol withdrawal, stabilization, and patient education.
Float Requirement: This is a dedicated float position. Candidates must be willing to float to all units and take charge shifts. Recent experience specifically within a Children's Unit (within the last 6 months) is mandatory.
Start Date: Candidates must be available to start on June 22, 2024. There are no exceptions to this start date.
Rate Adjustment: Effective June 24, 2024, candidates residing within 35 miles of the Brattleboro facility will be subject to a 10% rate decrease. Please include your address or driver's license in your submission packet.
Return to Office (RTO) Blackout Dates:
Note: RTO will not be approved during the first two weeks of orientation, and total RTO time cannot exceed 7 days.
