The Ambulatory Float Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works across a variety of dynamic specialty clinics and primary care locations, including Baldwin, Gonda, Mayo Clinic, NE Clinic, NW Clinic, SE Clinic, and Kasson. This role supports the unique needs of clinical practices by providing direct patient care, assisting with procedures, rooming patients, and administering immunizations.
The Ambulatory Float Pool supports 16 different LPN practices serving patients from pediatrics through adulthood. An individual LPN within this pool will train and work in six to ten different practices, specialties, or locations based on full-time equivalent (FTE) and practice mix. The role involves providing nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or assigned supervisor, collecting data through observation, and communicating information to assist in patient assessment and care planning. The LPN delivers care in accordance with patient care plans, organizational policies, and the principles of relationship-based care.
Hours are Monday through Friday with varied start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The majority of the schedule runs from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM, adjusted based on unit needs. No weekend shifts are required.
Internal applicants are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals to their profile. All candidates must attach a scanned copy of their Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate of completion or transcripts, including their full name, to be considered. Certificates must be from the American Heart Association or the Red Cross.
