Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch (YBGR) is dedicated to creating a trauma-informed environment where youth can heal and thrive. Our mission is rooted in faith, integrity, and a deep commitment to serving young people who have experienced complex trauma and come from difficult backgrounds. We believe in the power of positive role modeling and mentorship to guide youth and their families toward a brighter future.
As a Licensed Addictions Counselor (LAC), you will be a vital part of our team, providing essential substance abuse services to youth with a history of substance use. This role is more than clinical work; it is about embodying our values and serving as a beacon of hope and stability for the youth we serve. You will need a genuine heart and passion for working with young people, coupled with a strong work ethic and reliability.
In this position, you will conduct confidential chemical dependency assessments and lead group, individual, and family therapy sessions. Your day will involve collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive treatment planning, while also maintaining detailed records and engaging in aftercare planning. You will be expected to model our core values of Faith, Integrity, Relationship, and Stewardship, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to the well-being of our youth.
Our culture is built on four foundational pillars:
We seek individuals who are self-motivated, team-oriented, and capable of thinking collectively rather than individually. You will be part of a professional community that values cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique backgrounds of the youth we serve.
To join our team, applicants must meet specific state and organizational requirements, including passing a criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana. We are looking for candidates who are 21 years or older and hold a valid Montana LAC license along with the requisite education and contact hours in addiction studies.
Interested candidates should submit their application through our official channels. We encourage you to review our full qualifications to ensure you meet the criteria before applying. Once selected, you will participate in required training, including certification in First Aid/CPR and Violence Intervention Prevention, and may be part of an on-call rotation to support our youth around the clock.
