This position serves as a vital outreach and clinical support role within the ACCA, dedicated to connecting individuals with essential substance abuse treatment services. The primary purpose is to facilitate ongoing referrals, conduct comprehensive screenings and assessments for potential outpatient clients, and provide counseling services in strict adherence to OASAS and agency regulations.
The role exists to ensure a safe, respectful, and effective treatment environment. You will work closely with the ACCA Administrative Assistant to manage intakes, promote the agency's services to the community, and secure referrals for screenings, assessments, and treatment. Day-to-day activities include evaluating and motivating clients, leading scheduled group counseling sessions, and maintaining a manageable caseload as needed. You will also be responsible for reviewing clinic documentation and case records to ensure compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements, while making necessary referrals to appropriate services.
Beyond direct client care, this role involves active participation in assigned meetings and committees, fostering professional relationships with the community, peers, and other providers, and continuously seeking opportunities for professional growth. The position reports to the Clinical Director and may include additional tasks as assigned.
