About the Role

As a Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you play a critical role in providing daily care to elderly or disabled residents within our facility. Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), your primary mission is to assist residents with personal care, daily activities, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. You will be the hands-on support for residents needing help with eating, grooming, and hygiene, serving as a vital link between the medical team and the residents' daily well-being.

Day in the Life

Your day is defined by compassion and attentiveness. You will assist residents with bathing, dressing, and toileting, while also providing mobility support for those using walkers or wheelchairs. Beyond physical care, you offer companionship and emotional support to ensure residents feel valued and comfortable. You will monitor health conditions, recording vital signs like blood pressure and temperature, and promptly report any significant changes to the nursing team. Maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to strict infection control protocols are essential parts of your routine, ensuring a clean and hazard-free environment for everyone.

Certification & Licensing

CNA certification requirements vary by state. In many jurisdictions, including California, Florida, Texas, New York, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and North Dakota, an active CNA certification or license is mandatory. To qualify, candidates typically must complete a state-approved training program that combines classroom education with clinical experience, pass a competency exam (both written and practical), and maintain certification through continuing education and periodic renewal.
