The Hospice Aide is a vital member of the health services team, reporting to the Clinical Manager. You will function under the direction of Staff Registered Nurses, Case Managers, and Supervising Therapists to provide essential personal care and related services in the home setting.
In this role, you will be assigned to specific patients, working as a self-directed team player who maintains a positive, empathetic, and nonjudgmental attitude. Your day involves assisting patients with ambulation, transfers, nourishment, and hygiene while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Beyond physical care, you will establish trusting relationships with patients and their families, offering simple emotional and psychological support while adhering strictly to infection control procedures and care plans.
You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration and growth. CorsoCare provides a company-issued tablet with 24/7 IT support and dedicated schedulers to help you manage flexible hours. Candidates must be currently certified as a CNA in the State of Michigan with a minimum of one year of Hospice Aide experience in a healthcare or home care setting. A valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation are required. While CPR certification is preferred, it is not mandatory.
