Provo City is seeking a Circulation Services Specialist to serve as a pivotal link between library operations and the community. This position goes beyond standard circulation duties; it is distinguished by its responsibility to assist in the supervision of multiple library circulation operations and to lead assigned Library Pages and Clerks. Reporting to a Senior Librarian, the Specialist ensures the efficient flow of library materials while fostering an environment of outstanding customer service.
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day rhythm of the circulation desk, from checking materials in and out to resolving patron account concerns. You will also play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of the collection by monitoring material conditions and determining repair needs. As a supervisor, you will plan, coordinate, and monitor the work of your team, handling workload distribution, scheduling, and providing constructive feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
