The Department of Chemistry takes pride in high-quality coursework and student-centered research, led by award-winning faculty. Currently, the department supports approximately 300 students pursuing BS degrees in chemistry or biochemistry, as well as MS degrees in Chemistry. Multiple certificate programs are also available at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
This position establishes a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Chemistry or Biochemistry courses per semester for the Department of Chemistry in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The role is designed to support the department's mission of delivering excellence in education through a student-centered approach.
Hired candidates will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions, teaching a maximum of two courses per semester. Teaching assignments vary and may include lectures and/or lab courses, depending on student enrollment and departmental needs. Appointments are made semester-by-semester, subject to the needs of the department and budgetary approval. The department will contact candidates from this pool if an opening arises that suits their qualifications.
