The Department of Biological Sciences in Quinnipiac University's College of Arts & Sciences comprises 25 full-time faculty with expertise spanning from Molecular Genetics to Ecology. The department recently opened state-of-the-art science teaching and research laboratories within the Science, Innovation, Technology, and Exploration (SITE) building. Laboratory instruction utilizes a combination of anatomical models, mammalian organ dissection, plastinated human donors, online resources, and virtual human dissection tools.
We seek an engaging, student-centered educator with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching. The successful candidate will primarily teach the Human Anatomy and Physiology sequence, a critical requirement for students in our allied health and nursing programs. While applicants from a broad range of biological disciplines will be considered, expertise in Human Anatomy and Physiology is especially encouraged.
In addition to teaching, this role involves advising and mentoring students, holding regular office hours, and participating in service activities that support the program, department, college, and university community. The position is a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment at the initial rank of Assistant Teaching Professor or Instructor, depending on the highest degree earned. It is renewable with opportunities for promotion within the teaching faculty track.
