The Department of Biological Sciences at Sacramento State is one of the largest programs on campus, serving approximately 1,500 undergraduate and 60 Master's students. Located primarily in the Tschannen Science Complex, the department covers a broad spectrum of biological disciplines, including entomology, evolution, microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, and conservation biology. The team consists of 30 permanent faculty, approximately 40 temporary faculty, and a dedicated support staff committed to advancing education and research in the natural sciences.

B.S. or B.A. degree in Biology or a related discipline. Experience working with a diverse population of students and faculty. Ability to problem solve and think critically, often under time constraints and budgetary constrictions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable working closely with others, and the ability to schedule and supervise student assistants.
