About the Role

The Lead System Integrator – Critical Infrastructure is a pivotal contributor during the construction and startup phases of large-scale mission-critical building automation systems. This role is designed to provide technical leadership and support for planning, scheduling, and executing the installation, commissioning, and closeout of the most complex software integration projects across industrial, commercial, and technology sectors.

You will serve as a bridge between design engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, and client staff to ensure the seamless operation and acceptance of automation solutions. While receiving day-to-day coordination from the site superintendent, you will operate largely independently, overseeing the installation efforts of electrical sub-contractors and managing teams of up to six System Integrators through L2 and L3 system verification processes.

This position demands a continuous learning mindset, leveraging AI-enabled and digital tools to enhance efficiency and drive innovation. You will be responsible for communicating organizational goals, analyzing system operations, and serving as a primary point of contact for clients, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.

Location & Travel

This role requires you to live in or relocate to the Las Cruces, New Mexico area. While the position is based in Las Cruces, it offers opportunities for up to 75% travel to projects outside of New Mexico, depending on workload demands and business needs. Travel may involve transportation by car or plane to client sites, industry conferences, and business development meetings. Please note that effective May 7, 2025, a valid REAL ID or passport is required for all domestic air travel associated with this position.

As an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer participating in the E-Verify program, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where you can challenge yourself and grow professionally. We offer robust professional development opportunities, including tuition reimbursement and licensing assistance, to support your journey.

How to Apply

Are you ready to redefine standards? If you are passionate about critical infrastructure and possess the technical expertise to lead complex automation projects, we invite you to apply. Please submit your resume to join our team. Note that Smart Tech Contracting does not accept unsolicited resumes from third-party agencies or recruiters.
