We are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our rapidly growing Offshore Brownfield Engineering business in Metairie, LA. This role is pivotal in managing mechanical engineering efforts for our new offshore brownfield office, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, environmental specialists, and regulatory experts to develop and implement solutions for offshore facilities.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleLead and oversee all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle
- check_circleDevelop engineering design specifications, calculations, and drawings for offshore brownfield asset retirement
- check_circleProvide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers
- check_circleCollaborate with project managers to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets
- check_circleConduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for decommissioning activities
- check_circleReview and evaluate vendor proposals and technical documentation for compliance
- check_circleInterface with clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors to resolve engineering issues
- check_circleParticipate in project meetings, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions
- check_circleMonitor project progress and performance metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- check_circleFoster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship in engineering activities
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- verifiedProfessional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- verifiedMinimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering
- verifiedExperience with offshore oil and gas projects
- verifiedProficiency in AutoCAD, CAESAR II, and PDMS/AVEVA
- verifiedFamiliarity with API, ISO, and OSHA regulations
