As a Lead Manufacturing Shop Scheduling Specialist, you will create a comprehensive and attainable schedule that balances shop capacity, material inputs, and customer needs for production teams to execute. This role goes beyond planning; you will actively support production teams in executing the plan and adjusting schedules dynamically as needs evolve.
You will serve as a central hub for information flow, communicating with customer-facing teams to incorporate their needs into the plan and providing timely updates. Your day will involve leading cross-functional planning meetings to review production progress against schedule needs, identifying critical path items, and working on-site across all production teams to ensure the schedule remains realistic amidst capacity constraints.
Beyond daily execution, you will drive continuous improvement by leading Lean projects tied to business-critical problems. You will be responsible for rooting cause issues that arise and implementing solutions to resolve them, ensuring system accuracy for dates and data across multiple platforms while removing roadblocks to help teams hit daily and weekly targets.
