About the Role

Electric Materials Co is seeking a Component Manufacturing Manager to lead the production of high-quality electrical components for our rail, power, and mining customers. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence within the Manufacturing & Production department, ensuring we meet the rigorous demands of our diverse industrial clientele.

You will manage end-to-end manufacturing operations, overseeing planning, scheduling, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Your day-to-day focus will be on supervising shop-floor teams, optimizing production processes, and coordinating closely with engineering, supply chain, and sales departments to deliver on safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets. Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleLead day-to-day component manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
  • check_circleDevelop and manage production schedules, capacity plans, and resource allocation
  • check_circleSupervise and mentor production supervisors, leads, and operators
  • check_circleEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards including ISO/AS
  • check_circleCollaborate with engineering on process improvements, tooling, and new product introductions
  • check_circleCoordinate with purchasing and supply chain to ensure material availability and inventory control
  • check_circleOversee equipment maintenance priorities with maintenance teams to minimize downtime
  • check_circlePrepare reports, budgets, and recommendations for senior leadership
  • check_circleImplement lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S and Kaizen
  • check_circleMonitor key performance indicators like OEE and scrap to drive corrective actions

Requirements
