As a Continuous Improvement Engineer, you will be supporting the business in constantly looking at ways to perform more efficiently. You will analyze processes, make recommendations, work with cross-functional teams to recognize opportunities, and implement sustainable improvements. This role is designed for a highly competent professional who uses project design, leadership, and influence to ensure process development and improved outcomes.
While the core focus is on manufacturing processes, this role could expand beyond that, working with project management and operations to make improvements across the organization. You will use Lean Six Sigma principles to drive improvement initiatives and operational excellence, coaching and training teams on Copeland Business System (CBS) tools to build capability and sustain results. This role is based fully onsite in Cudahy, a quaint community located in Milwaukee County. Here, clean neighborhoods mingle with acres of parkland, major transportation access, and big-city attractions, all within an arm's reach, offering a small-town feel. Cudahy features six county parks, 823 acres of parkland, seasonal farmers markets, and miles of beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline. The area is home to several major league sports teams, including the Milwaukee Bucks and Milwaukee Brewers, with Lambeau Field just two hours away. General Mitchell International Airport is minutes away, and Chicago O'Hare is just over an hour away.
The location is home to the 150-year history of the Vilter brand, telling a rich story of perseverance and drive to cultivate continuous innovation within the industrial refrigeration and gas compression industries. Approximately 300 employees work in Cudahy, supporting a multitude of business functions.
