The Professional Billing IT team at Boston Children's Hospital serves as the critical bridge between complex clinical workflows and the financial systems that sustain our mission. As a leader in pediatric care, we rely on robust, efficient technology to ensure that every billing and claims process supports our ability to focus on what matters most: the patients and families we serve.
As the Lead IT Epic Analyst for Professional Billing, you will be the subject matter expert driving the advanced design, configuration, and optimization of our Epic Professional Billing application. This role exists to ensure our system functionality perfectly mirrors the intricate realities of our billing operations, turning business needs into seamless Epic workflows.
In this position, you will partner closely with operational stakeholders to translate complex requirements into technical solutions. Your day-to-day involves leading the full lifecycle of the application—from design and testing to support and troubleshooting. You will champion the implementation of "Gold Star" and "Staying Current" functionalities, ensuring the system remains performant and aligned with the latest industry standards. Beyond technical execution, you will act as the primary liaison between the IT team and operational counterparts, facilitating collaboration and presenting strategic insights to leadership.
Candidates selected for this role will undergo a structured interview process designed to assess both technical expertise and cultural fit. This typically includes an initial screening to verify Epic certifications and experience, followed by a technical deep-dive into Professional Billing workflows and integration scenarios. The final stage involves a team fit interview to ensure alignment with our collaborative and patient-centered values.

We believe that passion and teamwork are the foundations of our success, and we invite you to experience the benefits of working in an environment where diversity drives innovation.
