Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDetermine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
- check_circlePerform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs
- check_circleProcess biological samples including extraction, quantification, amplification, and analysis of DNA
- check_circleOperate laboratory instruments and equipment to support DNA analysis
- check_circleMake technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving in a high-volume setting
- check_circleMaintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- check_circleMaintain confidentiality of sensitive customer information and data
- check_circleEnsure compliance with the Company's quality system requirements through adherence to policies
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Biological Science
- verifiedAbility to read, analyze, and interpret procedures
- verifiedAbility to understand and follow complex verbal and written instructions
- verifiedFamiliarity with molecular biology techniques including DNA extraction and PCR amplification
- verifiedWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) systems
Nice to Have
Prior laboratory experience (academic or professional). Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Laboratory Information Management (LIMS) systems.
