Reporting to the Territory Area Manager, you will work closely with Avantor's Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers. This role is designed to support the critical infrastructure of cell banking, ensuring the integrity and availability of cell lines for our diverse client base.
In this position, you will manage the daily logistics of cell line operations. Your day will involve creating pick lists for scientist-requested cell lines, retrieving and transporting samples from the Cell Bank to designated drop-off locations, and handling external shipments. You will also be responsible for receiving new shipments, returning newly grown cell lines to the cell bank, and manually handling cryobank racks to prepare samples for delivery.
Beyond sample handling, you will utilize Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) like Limfinity for tracking and documentation. You will monitor liquid nitrogen dewars connected to cryo freezers, maintain the cleanliness and organization of cell banking areas, and collaborate with other Avantor services teams to ensure necessary consumables and PPE are available. A key part of your impact will be identifying safety concerns promptly and recommending improvements to current practices and workflows.

Associate or Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline. 1–2 years of experience in a laboratory environment or familiarity with lab processes and procedures. Experience with laboratory instruments and test preparation. Familiarity with sample management systems, especially LIMS. Experience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including drafting.
