The MMV Lab Operations team ensures the delivery of accurate, timely, and cost-effective laboratory testing essential for the diagnosis and treatment of disease.
This position serves as a leadership role within the laboratory, focusing on the oversight of complex chemical, biological, hematological, immunological, and microscopic tests. The incumbent will monitor the accuracy and efficiency of patient sample testing while actively participating in Quality Improvement activities.
A key component of this role involves the development and management of laboratory staff. Responsibilities include providing training to team members, checking their competencies, and documenting fair and objective performance evaluations. The role also requires the review of all critical values to ensure patient safety and data integrity.
Candidates must hold a NYSED license and Laboratory Technologist Certification, along with a Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Biology, or Chemistry. Applicants should possess a minimum of six years of recent experience as a Medical Technologist and prior experience in a leadership role, with a strong understanding of Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Banking, and Microbiology.
