About the Team
Ortonville Area Health Services Lab Department is dedicated to supporting the diagnosis and treatment of disease through precise clinical testing. Our team ensures the integrity of test results and the continuity of technique across all laboratory areas, serving both outpatient and inpatient needs.
About the Role
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Lab team as an overnight specialist. In this role, you will work independently to collect, prepare, and analyze patient samples, with a primary focus on STAT Emergency Room and inpatient laboratories.
You will perform testing across all areas of the laboratory, including Phlebotomy, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Serology, Chemistry, Molecular, and Blood Banking. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve running diagnostic analyzers, performing quality control and audits, checking inventory, and confirming orders for the daily outpatient schedule. Additionally, you will be responsible for obtaining early morning labs on inpatients and releasing results to the chart, ensuring seamless care continuity.
Hours
This position operates on a Monday through Thursday schedule from 9:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
