As a Junior Candy and Snacks Buyer, you will serve as a vital link between the company's financial objectives and its supply chain operations. This role exists to secure the best possible product costs, quality, and service while adhering to all established policies and procedures. You will be responsible for forecasting demand, managing inventory turns, and minimizing distress to ensure smooth operations.
Your day-to-day involves analyzing market conditions and promotional impacts to recommend order quantities to the merchandising team. You will interface with various departments, including store operations, distribution centers, and division offices, to maintain strong working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to resolving inventory issues at the store level, managing accounts payable variances, and coordinating with warehouse operations to ensure proper product flow. Additionally, you will conduct post-promotional reviews to assess performance and develop solutions for any problem areas.
