As a Job Developer, you will serve as a vital bridge between individuals with disabilities and the local business community. Your mission is to create competitive, integrated employment opportunities by identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with employers. You will facilitate job placement and support long-term employment outcomes through effective job matching, job carving, and dedicated follow-up.
In this role, you will act as a primary resource for employer needs, conducting targeted outreach to secure job opportunities aligned with the goals and abilities of the persons you serve. You will work closely with internal staff to support placement success, coordinate job site visits and hiring events, and ensure seamless transitions from placement to ongoing support. Your work directly impacts the lives of individuals by helping them find meaningful careers in inclusive environments.
Your day will involve a dynamic mix of community engagement and case management. You will spend significant time building partnerships with local businesses, representing Phoenix in civic and professional organizations, and promoting services to strengthen hiring pipelines. Simultaneously, you will provide case management services to referred individuals, assisting with resume development, interview preparation, and determining the least restrictive work environments.
You will maintain timely and accurate documentation to remain compliant with AbilityOne and CARF regulations. This includes developing progress reports, monitoring employment outcomes, and providing feedback to improve service delivery. You will also serve as a point of contact for employer inquiries, supporting onboarding coordination and addressing basic needs while referring complex matters to appropriate internal staff.
Interested candidates should submit their application through the standard career portal. Phoenix prioritizes internal and programmatic applicants, as well as individuals with disabilities, giving them first consideration. The selection process involves a review of qualifications followed by interviews to assess cultural fit and professional capabilities.
Phoenix is an equal opportunity employer. We encourage applications from individuals with disabilities, including disabled veterans and veterans with service-connected disabilities. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination based on disability, veteran status, gender, minority status, or any other protected group. We maintain a drug-free workplace and are dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
