As part of the Information Technology department at Southwest Medical Imaging, the IT Support Services team ensures the seamless operation of technology infrastructure for both internal staff and external users. The team is dedicated to providing superior customer service and maintaining the reliability of critical business and healthcare applications in a fast-paced medical environment.
The IT Support Specialist II serves as a vital link between complex technology and the medical professionals who rely on it. In this role, you will provide first and second-level technical support, handling incident requests via phone queues and electronic ticketing systems. You will troubleshoot complex software problems, resolve conflicts between applications and hardware, and support a wide range of devices including desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers.
Your day-to-day involves building rapport with staff and physicians, assessing technical issues, and guiding users through resolutions. You will also be responsible for documenting the problem-solving process, developing knowledge base articles, and delivering IT training to end users. This position requires a high degree of adaptability, as you will often need to work around medical office hours, including nights and weekends, to ensure zero downtime for critical systems.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in the Phoenix area. While the role is primarily in-office, occasional work-from-home days are available. Travel within the Phoenix area for onsite work is required. A current and valid driver's license with reliable transportation is necessary to fulfill these onsite duties.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the IT Support Services Manager. The process typically includes a review of qualifications followed by a discussion regarding technical capabilities and cultural fit within the medical imaging environment.
