About the Role
Maximus is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Technical Architect / Lead Developer to provide technical leadership and hands-on development across the enterprise ServiceNow platform supporting Aidvantage and the Federal Student Aid portfolio. This role is uniquely positioned for an experienced professional who excels at balancing strategic platform architecture with high-impact, hands-on development.
In this position, you will establish architectural standards, mentor and guide developers, and personally deliver complex, business-critical functionality that enables scalable, high-quality implementations. You will serve as a key technical authority, collaborating closely with stakeholders, clients, and development teams to translate business and ITSM/ITIL requirements into robust ServiceNow solutions. Your work will be critical in maintaining platform health, ensuring upgrade readiness, and driving long-term architectural alignment across ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, SPM, CMDB, and App Engine.
The role combines approximately 75% hands-on development with 25% platform architecture, solution design, and technical governance. You will lead requirements analysis, design deployment strategies, and ensure SDLC governance and continuous improvement across the platform.
