As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the guardian of inventory integrity and a champion for the customer experience. This role exists to ensure that our stores operate with precision, from the front end to the pharmacy, guaranteeing that products are available when customers need them and that all regulatory standards are met. You will be the bridge between management and the team, coaching others on best practices while stepping up as the Leader on Duty to drive store operations in the absence of store management.
Your day is defined by a blend of operational precision and human connection. You will start by ensuring the store is ready for business, managing system startups, and preparing the floor and stockroom. Throughout the shift, you will execute and monitor inventory best practices, overseeing the receiving, counting, pricing, and returns of merchandise for both the front end and pharmacy. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining On-Shelf Availability (OSA), validating planograms, and ensuring accurate inventory counts across all departments.
You will also act as a vital liaison between management and the team, coaching colleagues on inventory systems and communicating tasks effectively. When serving as the Leader on Duty, you will resolve customer issues, answer questions, and model service traits that create a distinctive and delightful experience. Your responsibilities extend to asset protection, filing claims for discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Whether you are scanning deliveries, managing pharmacy shipments under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge, or preparing for physical inventory audits, your attention to detail keeps the store running smoothly.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Walgreens is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment where every team member can thrive. We believe in continuous development and encourage all employees to attend company-based trainings and complete e-learning modules to grow their capabilities. We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer, considering qualified applicants regardless of background, including those with arrest and conviction records. We are dedicated to providing a respectful workplace where relationships with coworkers are maintained with integrity and professionalism.
