As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the operational backbone for both the front end and pharmacy departments. This role is designed to ensure the seamless flow of inventory, maintain strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and deliver a distinctive customer experience. You will be responsible for executing best practices that keep shelves stocked, pricing accurate, and assets protected, directly impacting the store's ability to serve 20 million shoppers.
In this position, you will act as a liaison between management and the team, coaching others on inventory systems and operational procedures. Whether you are coordinating complex pharmacy shipments, managing vendor returns, or resolving customer issues as the Leader on Duty, your attention to detail and ability to multitask will drive the store's success. You will play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our inventory records and ensuring that every customer interaction reflects our commitment to service excellence.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of operational precision and customer engagement. You will start by reviewing reports and system applications to ensure the accuracy of on-hand balances and pricing. Throughout the shift, you will manage the flow of goods, from scanning in deliveries and verifying pharmacy shipments to executing disposals and returns before expiration. You will ensure that planograms are accurate and that all counters and shelves are well-merchandised and clean.
When serving as the Leader on Duty, your responsibilities expand to include opening and closing the store, managing cash handling, and resolving customer issues to ensure a positive experience. You will model customer service best practices, proactively offering help and identifying needs. Additionally, you will support the team in package delivery activities, including the Pickup Program, and assist in preparing for physical inventory audits.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. For internal candidates, an "Achieving expectations" rating on the last performance review and no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months are required.
Walgreens is committed to fostering a culture of continuous development. You will attend company-based trainings and complete e-learning modules, including safety training requirements, to ensure you are equipped with the latest skills.
