As a key member of the Walgreens team, you will serve as the operational backbone for both the front end and pharmacy departments. This role is designed to ensure the highest standards of inventory accuracy, asset protection, and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for executing best practices that keep shelves stocked, prices accurate, and the store ready for business every day.
In this position, you will act as a liaison between management and team members, coaching others on inventory systems and operational procedures. Whether you are managing complex pharmacy shipments, resolving customer issues, or leading the store during your shift, your focus will be on delivering a distinctive and delightful customer experience while maintaining strict compliance with state and local regulations.
Your day will be a dynamic mix of hands-on inventory management and team leadership. You will start by ensuring the store is ready for business, managing system startups, and preparing the floor and stockroom. Throughout the shift, you will coordinate the receipt of deliveries, verifying shipments from vendors and common carriers, and ensuring all products are accurately posted in our systems.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to maintaining On-Shelf Availability (OSA). This involves validating planograms, managing disposals and returns before expiration, and ensuring that pricing is accurate and signage is correct. In the pharmacy, working under the supervision of the pharmacist-in-charge, you will handle critical tasks such as verifying shipments, managing recalls, and conducting inventory counts.
You will also be a champion for customer service, greeting shoppers, offering assistance, and resolving issues to ensure a positive experience. When serving as the leader on duty, you will take accountability for registering sales, handling cash, and managing the overall flow of the store. Your role requires a keen eye for detail to identify operational issues and implement strategies to resolve them effectively.
We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Internal candidates must have achieved an "Achieving expectations" rating on their last performance review and have no written disciplinary actions in the previous 12 months. To apply, please ensure you meet the language requirements (fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English, except in Puerto Rico) and possess the necessary attention to detail and multitasking abilities. Previous experience as a shift lead, pharmacy technician, or customer service associate is preferred but not required.
