About the Role
The Instrument Test Technician I is a pivotal member of the production team in Sparks Glencoe, MD, dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance for moderately complex instruments. This role goes beyond simple assembly; it involves a comprehensive analysis, testing, and optimization of systems to guarantee they meet strict pass/fail criteria. As a subject matter expert in instrument functional performance, you will be the first line of defense in diagnosing issues within non-functioning test equipment, utilizing your knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and software systems to implement effective solutions.
In this position, you will not only execute and interpret test instructions but also analyze data to drive continuous process improvements. You will serve as a mentor to other associates, guiding them through mechanical assembly and testing activities while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Your work directly impacts the reliability of medical and industrial instruments, ensuring they are ready for their intended use in regulated manufacturing environments.
