The Senior Electrical Engineer or Controls Engineer serves as a critical technical leader within our engineering team, applying accepted electrical design standard operating procedures to complex projects. This role exists to ensure that all assigned sections of projects meet proposed budget, schedule, and technical objectives, with a specific emphasis on PLC and industrial controls.
In this position, you will partner closely with Project Managers to develop machine control concepts, write technical sections of proposals, and present project concepts to clients. You will also collaborate with the Sales team to articulate the company's capabilities to potential customers. Your day-to-day involves developing project schedules, monitoring scope changes, and reviewing the detail design of projects. You will provide electrical drawing packages that comply with standard operating procedures, perform electrical design calculations, and specify electrical control hardware. Additionally, you will utilize AutoCAD drafting skills to interface electrical components logically and electrically, applying motion control hardware to system designs. A key part of your responsibility is writing PLC, motion control, and operator interface software to meet project requirements, while also providing checking functions for electrical print packages and offering technical support to electrical designers.
