The Electrical Engineer III is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading the design, analysis, and support of electrical power systems and machine controls for drilling equipment. This role requires deep technical expertise in power distribution and control systems, with a mandate to own major technical deliverables, guide junior engineers, and support complex field issues.
In this position, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new systems, participate in commissioning, startup, and system validation activities, and upgrade existing designs. Your focus will be on ensuring safe, reliable, and high-performance operation of critical drilling assets, serving as the technical lead for assigned projects while driving operational excellence and reliability improvements alongside field service teams.

Experience with drilling rigs (land or offshore) and integrated rig equipment. Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and electrical design for classified environments. Experience with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM). Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or progress toward licensure. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional technical efforts.
