About the Team

Nabors is a leading provider of advanced technology for the energy industry. With operations in approximately 20 countries, we have established a global network of people, technology, and equipment to deploy solutions that deliver safe, efficient, and responsible hydrocarbon production. By leveraging our core competencies in drilling, engineering, automation, data science, and manufacturing, Nabors aims to innovate the future of energy and enable the transition to a lower carbon world.

About the Role

The Electrical Engineer III is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading the design, analysis, and support of electrical power systems and machine controls for drilling equipment. This role exists to ensure the safe, reliable, and high-performance operation of complex drilling machinery while driving the evolution of our power distribution and control systems.

In this position, you will own major technical deliverables and guide junior engineers through complex design challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new systems, participate in commissioning, startup, and system validation activities, and upgrade existing designs. Your day-to-day involves serving as the technical lead for assigned projects, ensuring the quality and accuracy of electrical and controls deliverables. You will also provide Level III support for complex system failures, leading root cause analysis efforts and collaborating with field service teams to drive operational excellence.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess technical depth, system-level thinking, and cultural fit. The process typically includes:

  1. Initial Screening: A conversation with a recruiter to discuss background and role alignment.
  2. Technical Deep Dive: A detailed review of your engineering experience, specifically regarding power distribution, motor controls, and drilling equipment.
  3. System Design & Problem Solving: A session focused on your ability to apply structured analytical methods to complex engineering issues.
  4. Team Fit: Interviews with potential peers and leadership to evaluate collaboration, communication, and leadership capabilities.

Equal Opportunity Employer
