The Electrical Engineer III is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for leading the design, analysis, and support of electrical power systems and machine controls for drilling equipment. This role exists to ensure the safe, reliable, and high-performance operation of complex drilling machinery while driving the evolution of our power distribution and control systems.
In this position, you will own major technical deliverables and guide junior engineers through complex design challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop new systems, participate in commissioning, startup, and system validation activities, and upgrade existing designs. Your day-to-day involves serving as the technical lead for assigned projects, ensuring the quality and accuracy of electrical and controls deliverables. You will also provide Level III support for complex system failures, leading root cause analysis efforts and collaborating with field service teams to drive operational excellence.

Experience with drilling rigs (land or offshore) and integrated rig equipment. Knowledge of hazardous area classifications and electrical design for classified environments. Experience with power system analysis tools (ETAP, SKM). Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or progress toward licensure. Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional technical efforts.
