The Electrical Engineer III serves as a senior-level individual contributor dedicated to the design, analysis, and support of electrical power systems and machine controls for drilling equipment. This position is critical for ensuring the safe, reliable, and high-performance operation of complex industrial machinery. You will own major technical deliverables, guiding junior engineers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to develop new systems, manage commissioning and startup activities, and upgrade existing designs.
In this role, you will act as the technical lead for assigned projects, balancing deep expertise in power distribution and control systems with the ability to mentor others. Your day-to-day involves resolving complex field issues, conducting root cause failure analysis, and driving operational excellence alongside field service teams. Whether working in the office or visiting manufacturing sites and customer facilities, you will ensure that engineering solutions meet rigorous safety and performance standards.
This role is primarily based in an office or engineering environment, with periodic visits to manufacturing sites, test bays, or customer facilities. The position requires the ability to travel 10–20% for commissioning, troubleshooting, and project support. You will work safely in industrial environments, which may involve navigating uneven surfaces, climbing stairs or ladders, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE). The role includes occasional exposure to elevated noise levels, outdoor weather conditions, and industrial hazards typical of drilling or heavy equipment sites.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
