The Instructor/Equine Educational Manager serves as a vital link within the Red Barn Student Equestrian Center, reporting to the Executive Director and Head Coach. This role is designed for those ready to inspire champions by blending instruction, facility management, and horse care. You will aid in the administration of equestrian programs, instruct students and teams, and assist in the daily management of Stanford's horses. The position requires an onsite presence with availability for weekends and evenings, fostering a dynamic environment where you will help shape the next generation of riders and leaders.
Your work will span instruction, staff development, and horse management. You will teach a variety of horse classes, from foundational unmounted work to advanced riding and leadership skills. Beyond the saddle, you will collaborate with instructors and coaches to deliver clinics focused on teaching objectives and horse training. You will also serve as a liaison for horse training plans, assisting in the onboarding of new horses and managing stablehands to ensure the highest standards of care. This role demands sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently while maintaining a safe, cohesive team environment.
