The Inpatient RN CAP 2 position serves as a cornerstone of our Clinical Advancement Program (CAP), designed for new employees meeting specific criteria or those advancing from CAP 1. As a member of the kidney disease healthcare team, you will be accountable for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care, encompassing assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
This role is more than just clinical execution; it is a leadership opportunity within the Fresenius Kidney Care ecosystem. You will participate in decision-making, teaching, and quality improvement activities that directly enhance patient care outcomes and program operations. Whether acting as a resource, coach, or mentor to new and incumbent employees, you will set the standard for appropriate behavior and work habits across the facility and area level.
Your day involves the systematic collection and analysis of patient data before, during, and after treatment, ensuring all adjustments to treatment plans are documented and communicated effectively. You will collaborate with direct and ancillary staff to assess daily care needs, initiating and coordinating communication with both Fresenius and non-Fresenius dialysis providers to ensure continuity of care.
From administering prescribed medications and monitoring responses to intradialytic transfusions to initiating emergency response measures, your focus remains on safe, effective patient care. You will also play a vital role in education, assessing and documenting the learning needs of patients and their families to provide ongoing guidance.
Candidates must meet specific clinical criteria, including a minimum of two years of Nephrology Nursing experience within the last two years. As a condition of employment, all candidates are required to complete the Ishihara's Color Blindness test. Please note that failing this test does not automatically preclude employment; the Company will consider whether reasonable accommodations can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Fresenius Medical Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status. We maintain a drug-free workplace in accordance with applicable federal and state laws and are committed to providing a supportive environment for all employees.
