About the Role
We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Cary, NC. This role is designed for individuals with a spark for tinkering with electrical and mechanical components. You will play a critical part in maintaining equipment and amplifying your knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) by alternating between troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair.
In this position, you will analyze production equipment failures to understand root causes, utilizing schematics and drawings to investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems such as pneumatics, drives, hydraulics, and conveyors. You will be expected to be creative in your solutions while maintaining clear documentation. Additionally, you will prioritize innovation and communication by seeking ways to improve plant efficiency and cost savings, while keeping an open dialogue with leads and supervisors regarding day-to-day activities.
This is an overnight shift position (6 PM – 6 AM) operating on a 2-2-3 12-hour schedule with every other weekend off. The role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks, with occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Experience working in a food manufacturing plant is highly valued.
