About the Role
Grand Industrial is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team in building, installing, and repairing a variety of structures and fixtures. This role is essential for ensuring the structural integrity and aesthetic finish of our projects, working with materials ranging from aluminum and steel to concrete.
In this position, you will interpret blueprints and sketches to prepare project layouts, determining precise dimensions and material needs. Your day-to-day involves erecting concrete forms, plumbing, leveling, and grading, as well as installing foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs. You will also handle finishing details such as trim and moldings, and install windows and doors within steel structures.
Safety and quality are paramount. You will be expected to adhere to local building and safety codes, maintain a clean work environment, and ensure the accuracy of your work using levels, surveying equipment, and framing squares. Collaboration with other construction professionals, including electricians, plumbers, and architects, is a key part of the workflow.
Requirements & Conditions
To succeed in this role, candidates must have at least one year of experience as a Carpenter and possess a valid Driver's License with reliable transportation. You must have your own hand tools and be comfortable working at heights. Please note that weekend work is required for this position.
