This position serves as a vital part of our maintenance team, ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of our parks, restaurants, and office buildings. As a Level II skilled tradesperson, you will be the backbone of our facilities, handling a diverse range of duties from carpentry and concrete work to heavy equipment operation and vehicle maintenance. Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards our guests expect, whether you are repairing a structure, building new fixtures, or ensuring our fleet of vehicles is road-ready.
You will work in a dynamic environment that requires adaptability. Your day-to-day involves studying blueprints and sketches to determine material needs and dimensions, then executing skilled trade duties using a variety of fixed and portable power tools. From operating backhoes and forklifts to working with chisels, saws, and surveying equipment, you will tackle projects ranging from remodeling offices and installing cabinets to erecting scaffolding and building trench bracing. Safety is paramount; you will frequently work at heights up to 300 feet, on ladders, and on top beams, ensuring all work meets code and specifications.
We are committed to supporting our team members both on and off the job. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including 3 weeks of paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, and several medical coverage options tailored to your needs. Our 401K match program helps you plan for the future, while maintenance-specific scholarships provide opportunities for professional growth.
Beyond the workplace, we believe in celebrating our team. Enjoy a yearly maintenance appreciation week, complimentary tickets for friends and family, and free entry to all our parks and water parks. As a full-time employee, you will also have access to discounts on food and merchandise, plus participate in regular employee events and gatherings designed to foster a strong community.
Candidates selected for this role must meet specific safety and compliance standards, including passing a mandatory or random drug test and a comprehensive background check. A valid driver's license is required, and applicants must be at least 18 years old with the physical ability to wear personal protective equipment, including steel-toed shoes and fall protection gear.
We look for individuals with 2-4 years of carpentry or general construction experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a solid knowledge of lumber grades, power tools, and blueprint reading. Related vocational training is preferred. We value critical thinking and effective communication, as you will often coordinate between guests, peers, architects, and subcontractors.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees and guests.
