We are seeking a dedicated Carpenter to support the School of Public Health's Facilities Management team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our maintenance operations, performing a blend of construction, repair, assembly, and installation for both temporary and permanent structures. From building protective sheds and staging platforms to installing interior trim and cabinetry, your work ensures our campus facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained.
This position is ideal for a skilled tradesperson who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will spend your day measuring, cutting, and laying out materials, ensuring every joint fits perfectly for a neat appearance. While the role focuses primarily on maintenance and repair, you will also tackle new construction projects and respond to urgent needs, including potential 24-hour callouts. Your ability to read blueprints, follow specifications, and interact respectfully with faculty, students, and staff is essential to keeping our community running smoothly.
