This position serves as a critical liaison within the district's special services framework, bridging the gap between campus operations, state mandates, and the needs of students with disabilities. The role exists to ensure rigorous compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a supportive environment for special education programs.
In this capacity, you will work closely with the special services critical case liaison and campus staff to manage the complex documentation required for Texas Education Agency mediation and due process hearings. Your work directly impacts the district's ability to navigate legal requirements while maintaining a focus on student outcomes.
The day-to-day involves analyzing data to identify areas for improvement, offering strategic recommendations to campus staff, and providing instructional support and resources for state and local assessments. You will also play a key leadership role by supervising and evaluating assigned special services staff, as well as delivering training and technical support on compliance, procedures, instruction, and transportation.
