The Human Resources Generalist serves as a strategic partner to leaders and employees, fostering a fair, respectful, and compliant workplace. Based in our Blacks Harbour, NB facility, this onsite role is pivotal in navigating the complexities of a unionized environment. You will act as the primary point of contact for employee relations, labour relations, and performance management, ensuring that organizational culture remains positive and high-performing.
This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth, with potential for advancement based on performance and evolving organizational needs. You will work directly with the General Manager to support critical initiatives ranging from workforce planning and succession planning to the administration of complex immigration processes like the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
As a key member of the HR team, you will be comfortable operating within a dynamic production environment. The role requires physical presence on the floor, including periods of walking and standing, and adherence to strict safety protocols. Essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as bump caps, hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, and eye protection must be worn to ensure safety while engaging with the workforce.
