Lad Lake is a COA-accredited, nonprofit, independent organization serving youth and families across Wisconsin. Our trauma-informed programs impact over 1,200 youth and their families, and we are dedicated to fostering growth and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion every step of the way.
Our mission is to guide young people toward their potential and help them live responsibly. We do this by building a team of compassionate, skilled professionals committed to empowering our staff and the individuals we serve. As Wisconsin's oldest youth service organization, we pride ourselves on a supportive, servant-leadership culture where many leaders started in frontline or support roles.
We are looking for an experienced and approachable HR Generalist to support our Dousman campus. If you're a people-first HR professional who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and is ready to help shape an inclusive and positive workplace culture, this role is for you.
This isn't just HR—it's heart work. As a trusted first point of contact for employees, you will offer support with professionalism and empathy. You will lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for our Milwaukee campus positions, collaborating with hiring managers to develop creative, inclusive recruiting strategies that reflect our mission and values. Your day will involve coordinating seamless onboarding experiences, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and providing guidance on employee relations with a solutions-focused mindset.
You will work closely with the Director of People & Culture to align HR efforts with agency-wide goals, promoting positive engagement through recognition efforts and morale-boosting initiatives. In this role, you will help ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful work environment while supporting the performance management process and professional development.
Come make a difference with the Lad Lake family. We offer a casual dress code where you can be comfortable being you, along with room to grow and invest in your future through tuition reimbursement and professional development opportunities. We are a Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Employer committed to helping you thrive.
The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
Lad Lake is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
