This role serves as the central coordinator for the College's recruitment and hiring processes, ensuring a seamless experience for both internal stakeholders and external candidates. The position is dedicated to developing, improving, and implementing program strategies with a specific focus on diverse, equitable, and inclusive (DEI) practices. You will act as the primary point of contact for job applicants throughout the application and interview lifecycle, answering day-to-day recruitment questions and guiding candidates through the online application process.
Beyond coordination, you will partner with hiring managers to create targeted recruitment plans, manage salary placements in compliance with collective bargaining agreements, and maintain the integrity of the applicant tracking system. The role also involves providing training to managers on recruitment processes and system usage, while conducting data analysis to identify areas for process improvement.
This is primarily an on-site position during a 6-month probationary period. Following probation, the role may be eligible for hybrid remote work, subject to prior approval and compliance with MHCC Remote Work policies. Remote work must be performed within the states of Oregon or Washington. The work environment is a standard office setting involving computer terminal usage, with potential for visual eye strain and repetitive hand/wrist motion associated with data entry and keyboarding.
Initial salary placement is determined by the College based on years of applicable education, full-time equivalent experience, and other job-related qualifications, in accordance with state and federal laws. Applicants are encouraged to include all relevant education and experience (including unpaid and volunteer work) in their application materials for review. Please note that hired employees will not have the opportunity to update past experience or appeal their initial salary placement after the time of hire.
