The Director, Human Resources serves as a strategic and operational leader dedicated to delivering comprehensive HR support across the organization. This position is pivotal in shaping a high-performing culture while balancing operational needs, employee experience, and regulatory requirements. You will lead the HR Business Partner function and own all aspects of employee and labor relations, ensuring a seamless alignment between people strategies and business objectives.
In this hybrid capacity, you will partner closely with leadership to drive workforce effectiveness and manage employee relations risk. A critical component of this role involves supporting a unionized workforce, managing union engagement, and interpreting contracts. You will oversee the full spectrum of People Operations, including Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, HRIS, Recruitment, and Learning & Development, ensuring efficient, service-oriented processes across the entire employee lifecycle.

This role is based in Chicago, IL, with a hybrid work arrangement. You are expected to be on-site at least three days per week to facilitate in-person meetings and collaboration. While remote work is available when appropriate, the ability to report to various locations temporarily or permanently is essential to support our diverse program sites.
