About the Role
The HQ Relief Driver provides essential operational support across multiple locations by filling in for driver vacancies. This role is designed to ensure continuity of service, requiring extensive travel to various sites and the flexibility to adapt to different routes and operational needs. You will be the backbone of our fleet, stepping in to cover routes for absent drivers across multiple regions to ensure timely and safe service.
As a Relief Driver, you will operate various types of trucks, including Front-End Load, Roll-Off, Rear-Load, or Automated Side-Load (ASL), to collect and transport waste materials. Your day will involve maintaining accurate logs, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and communicating effectively with dispatch and local site managers. Beyond the mechanics of the job, you will serve as a face of CWS, providing excellent customer service during interactions with the public and ensuring the safe loading and unloading of materials.

Hiring Process
Candidates must be prepared to undergo a comprehensive screening process, including a drug test and background check, to verify a safe driving record and compliance with all Department of Motor Vehicles (D.M.V.) requirements. Successful applicants will also need to pass a DOT physical and criminal background check per company and DOT standards.

Requirements
