CDL Swing Driver — Riverview, MI at GFL Environmental

About the Role

The Swing Driver is a vital part of our waste management operations, ensuring consistent and efficient service for our customers. In this role, you will safely operate a variety of vehicle types, including Front End, Roll Off, and Residential trucks, utilizing diverse collection methods to service solid waste, recyclables, and yard waste. You will deliver collected materials to landfills, Material Recovery Facilities (MRFs), or transfer stations while filling in for various routes as needed to maintain service reliability.

This position requires a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, whether interacting with customers on the route or representing the company in uniform. As a Swing Driver, you will be responsible for managing assigned helpers if applicable, developing directions to new accounts, and potentially assisting in the training of other drivers. The role demands flexibility to adapt to changing route needs and a commitment to continuous improvement in safety and efficiency.
