The Residential Driver is the frontline of our waste removal services, dedicated to safely, efficiently, and courteously serving our community. In this role, you will operate a fully automated side-loading truck to collect solid waste and recyclables from curbside and backdoor locations, transporting them to post-collection facilities. You will work independently with minimal supervision, ensuring route quality standards are met while maintaining a clean and safe vehicle.
This position involves working in a dynamic environment characterized by frequent exposure to loud noise, varying weather conditions (hot and cold), and airborne particles. You will be constantly navigating motor vehicle traffic and operating in high-traffic areas, requiring sharp visual acuity and the ability to maneuver the truck in tight spaces. The role also involves physical demands such as lifting, pushing, and pulling objects, as well as sitting for approximately 75% of the shift while driving.
