The Role

As a Driver, you will operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with front, side, or rear-end load lift attachments, depending on the specific line of business and vehicle type. Your mission is to transport waste, recyclable, or disposal materials to facilities once trucks reach legal load capacity. Whether navigating high-traffic roadways, congested driveways, or tight alleyways, you will ensure safe and efficient collection services.

Depending on the specific route, your day-to-day activities may vary:

Commercial Drivers: You will provide pick-up services for containers filled with waste or recyclable material. These containers can weigh over 1,000 pounds, requiring you to maneuver wheeled containers to a pick-up stage area with precision.
Residential Drivers: You will collect household waste or recyclables, safely maneuvering vehicles through residential environments while navigating busy streets and narrow lots.
Roll-Off Drivers: You will prepare, load, and transport large mobile open-top and compactor containers from customer locations. This role often involves operating in tight overhead environments on industrial routes.

Across all roles, highly skilled backing maneuvers are essential to successfully perform the job. You will work closely with your Route Manager to improve route efficiencies, identify best practices, and ensure customer locations are left clean and free of debris after every service.
