As an Environmental Services Technician, you will be the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our community. Your work ensures that patient rooms and all areas of the hospital remain clean and sanitized, protecting everyone from potential illness or injury caused by infectious diseases and other hazards. Beyond routine cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, and dusting, you will utilize specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility.
In this position, you will also oversee day shift environmental and linen services employees, assist with department orientation and training, and maintain necessary documentation. You will cover routes as needed, manage schedules, and support the ES Linen supervisor in maintaining policies and procedures. Your role involves performing quality improvement checks, maintaining statistics to enhance services, and training others in proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques. A well-maintained facility brings peace of mind to our patients and visitors, and your thoroughness and commitment to safety are vital to our shared success.
