About the Role

As a Home Health Speech Language Pathologist, you will evaluate, direct, and provide speech/language pathology services to patients in the home or facility. You will use professional skills and judgment to assess and treat disorders of speech, voice, language, hearing, and swallowing, aiming to prevent, identify, and minimize the effects of such conditions. Your day will involve administering diagnostic tests, interpreting therapeutic treatments, and providing instruction to patients, families, and healthcare staff on alternative communication systems when appropriate.

You will actively participate in care coordination activities and discharge planning, ensuring a seamless transition for patients. Maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct is essential; you will handle confidential information with care, sharing details only when the recipient's right to access is clearly established and it serves the patient's best interests.
