As a Teacher/Coach, you will serve as a vital guide in your students' journey toward intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Your mission is to provide appropriate learning activities that help students fulfill their potential and develop the competencies needed to function successfully in society. This role uniquely blends classroom instruction with athletic leadership, requiring you to be a positive role model both inside and outside the classroom.
Your day involves developing and implementing lesson plans that align with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines, while ensuring accommodations are made for diverse learning styles. You will foster a classroom environment conducive to learning, managing student behavior and utilizing technology to strengthen the teaching process. Beyond academics, you will sponsor and supervise extracurricular activities, working cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Communication is key, as you will maintain open lines with parents, colleagues, and the community while participating in faculty meetings and staff development.
